Hello again readers. I'm going to start this reader feedback post by talking more about what went on with this year's Halloween story. Originally I had an idea to do something different with the latest Halloween story where the actors at the costume party would take turns telling "scary stories" that were actually sexual parodies of classic horror movies. This was a great idea that I thought would be really fun to write and it mostly was, the problem was that I had bit off way more than I could chew with this idea (and to be honest this is a problem I've struggled with before). Unfortunately I was only able to write one of the three parody stories I had planned in time for Halloween and although I was pleased with how that story turned out, it was still disappointing and frustrating not to be able to complete my full vision of the story. Which brings me to my second topic for this post.
I have been very burnt-out when it comes to writing lately. Ever since I finished the last Avengers orgy story for Avengers Endgame I have been struggling to write new material. A part of this problem is that I feel too much of my regular content has become stale over time. There's only so many times you can write about guys hooking-up in a hotel room before it becomes boring. That's a part of the reason why my story about Jake Gyllenhaal and Tom Holland was so bland compared to my usual work.
Another factor that has lead to a decline in my work is being stressed-out by the need to get stories done within a certain amount of time. Any long-time reader of my blog will know that it usually takes me a while, months most often, to get a story done. I hate having to try and rush myself to get a story finished in time for a holiday or while people are still talking about a new movie. I love writing Halloween stories but struggling to get them done before October 31st is a real pain in the ass, literally since I'm sitting on my butt while writing lol. Honestly I don't think I'll be writing a Christmas story this year, I think last year's Christmas story was a good note to end-on for that series. I'll probably do another Halloween story next year but it'll be another one involving a sexy parody of a classic horror movie.
But one of the most significant issues with feeling so burnt-out with my writing is that often I don't feel inspired to write anymore. This is why I want to shake things up and write more fictional-style stories that add in elements of horror, sci-fi, fantasy, etc. instead of doing the same "guys hook-up in a hotel room" stuff over and over again. I'll still be writing some of my more usual stories though; for example I have another idea for an installment of Adventures In The Dungeon. I'll just be trying to branch-out more often with more creative stuff.
